And I thought my local GAME store was nice...

Well here's another one of my rants.

Well I rang my local game store to see if they would price match mw2 for $70 (price @ toys r us) SO I rang them and the guy is like 'I've tried to ring them heaps today and can't get through, but come down and if i can get through and they have it in stock we'll price match... So straight after I rang toys r us and talked to them straight away and they said they have it for $70 and it's in stock etc.

So the next day I went in Game and I told them about price matching and the guy said ok I'll ring em' now. The game employee typed in the toys r us number and then waited 3 seconds then repeated it another 3 times. The guy then said to me 'sorry I've rag 4 times and it's engaged so we can't price match'

I could tell he was bullSh*tn as hey typed in a different number each time he 'apparently' rang toys r us and that he could'nt look me in the face.

So I decided myself to ring toys r us, I was talking to them on my first go and as they were putting me through to the games section the employee was like 'hey let me talk to them' So i gave the phone to him as he talked to the toys r us worker.

I kept close to the Game Employee to easdrop on the conversation. I heard the toys r us guy tell the GAME guy that mw2 was in stock and it was $70.

The GAME guy was like yep they have it but it's for $100. Im like Fu*k this and I walked off...

Then i went to toys r us and bought it for $70...

thats why you dont waste your time trying to price match if you can just go to the store with the better price 2 start with

Next time put it on loudspeaker after he hands the phone back to you and say "sorry, can you repeat that price". Then call him out as a liar when the Toys R Us guy says $70.

Anyway, GAME stores are scum. Prices are expensive, there's pretty much no selection and the staff are just horrible.

Mate, why reward stores that are happy to stuff you around. Who gives a damm if they price match. Give your bunsiness to the store that was willing to give you a good price in the first place.

Anyway I can't stand smart **** people like this especially when they work at a video game store. For starts they think they know the entire history of games like a walking wikipedia and then they do everything they can do rip you off!

Either JB Hi-Fi is the way to go or online.

thats what i say. if u can find a good price why price match. I mean unless they say we will beta it by 5% or something then i understand.

Thats funny I got MW2 (XB360 standard version) for $70 at GAME because I told them to price match it on the Toys R Us price and they accept. If u have any problems from any shop, just ask to see the store manager and tell wat happen.

my local game is pretty good, I never buy from EB anymore because they are full on crap, even though the guy I got on well returned after a year or so, I still buy elsewhere.

I never buy anything from GAME or EB I only shop at JB.

Though in his defence he was proably told somthing along the lines of dont sell this for less than 100$ or you will be fired.

My local GAME is good, they price match and negotiate also...BUT yeah that dude shouldve been upfront with you saying he cant price match cause its too cheap or somewhere along those lines instead of dicking around for the next hour or so....my guess he was hammered the night before...
