I was bored enough to head to Parramatta last night for the launch. Inside Westfield these stores were open -
* Toys R Us
* EB Lvl3
* EB Lvl5
* Games Wizards
Overall the turnout was lame for all of them, Games Wizards being the worst with around 5 people. Oh well hopefully if this pattern follows suit I'll get a C-Royale BD

From what I can tell, most people love it, but are just annoyed about the lack of supplied cables.

Just came back from JB @ Castle Hill - they've got an unreal setup with a section mark off just for a single PS3 cased in a perspex box and a huge 50" or so pure HDTV with F1 Champ. running - looked great

I asked how the launch went and they said it went oright but not as good as the 360 one

I guess my post was to vent after the Sony marketing vomit I heard on the radio. This was along the lines of the original PS2 was powerful enough to control a missile and the new PS3 is 30 times more powerful... I am sorry I had to pull over and be sick.
For the last few years I have heard nothing but hype on how much better the PS3 is better than the Xbox 360. I have yet to see anything that proves it. Similar to the hype on how much better the PS2 would be than the Dreamcast.
Anyhow enjoy your new console...

i have a phone charger that has the same conection as the usb charger 4 the ps3 controlers, do u think it will work, or will it screw the batery

Bit off the current topic but who's been playing Motorstorm online? Its freakin awesome multiplayer! Im enjoying it WAAYYYY more than resistance (Im a PC FPS person, i just cant get use to console FPS controls..yet anyway).

Yes it will work. USB chargers won't burn.

Exactly. I can't justify paying an extra $400 or so to get a PS3 of a 360, when the core level of gaming is practically identical.
