Yep, I got the email as well. I hope for the sake of the people who own Japanese PS3 that the region B disc does work, as there are cases of Sony movies released in the US that are marked as region A that work in any region.

I thought the US did get a similiar deal, with Talladega Nights being bundled with the first PS3s that were ordered.

Also I suppose its a good way of Sony compensating for releasing the PS3 late in Europe/Australia

Gorack, JB won't let you do that dude. For two reasons.

1.) You don't have a docket for it.

2.) The packaging will state that it is not for retail sale (anyone who got Spiderman 2 on UMD free with a PSP will know what I talk about).

If you want to get rid of it, sell it on e-Bay or something.

*EDIT* Looks like you won't have to. But still, taking it to JB Hifi would have been a dumb idea.

zhaz, i used to work at jb so no probs there. pirarefunk, the talladega nights copy i got with my US console cause it was free with the first 100,000(or so) consoles shipped. Besides all u would have to do is tell them u tried to play it and it stuffed and swap it for something else. i know how their system works. same basic retail rule. customer is always right. if u kick up a stink they will do what ever u ask to keep u happy as a customer

So how are you going to get both to claim Talladega when they only send it within Usa and you cant register a console twice.
The customer is not always right thats an myth if you tried that in my store you would be escorted from the store by security.

but it(Casino Royale) won't be an overseas copy and it doesn't matter if u have a receipt or not. i already have talladega nights it shipped inside the packaging. as for your "myth" i've seen it happen several times and been on the retailer side of it when a customer comes in bull****ting about how " my dvd won't play" and it has a massive scratch right down the middle that u know would not have been there when it was sold. have u ever worked in retail before?
