My guess is its so that they can have more control over MGO. Well that’s the whole reason they are having this massive beta test. So they can do a final test of their servers and net code and other balance issues before the game hits is released.

I signed up and got my konami ID about 2 days ago.

Only realised today that I also needed to sign up for a Gamer ID as well.

SO i went in to edit my details and created a Gamer ID too.

Am I meant to get a confirmation email for changing details? Or am I set?
