just let it default to 720p. Its what the game was ment to be displayed at you can force it to use 1080i if you disable 720 but its only there for suport of older non 720 compiant TV's
but you can try it in 1080i if you want. and see which you prefer

im running it in 1080p, i had to untick the 720p box or it forced 720p.

That doesnt mean its 1080P... its still 630P Upscaled to 1080...
Ive found the best image i could get is usin 720P and adjusting video settings way out of the usual setup i have.

The graphics during the day on the beach are great,my TV is finally GTA calibrated so i aint got no complaints,it looks HOT!!

the day scenes at the beach and in the city look mad authentic. the scenery in general i like the graphics of. it looks so much like a real city you can almost smell it.....its just the fine detail and bullet effects where it's a bit lacking but its nothing i didnt expect

Anyone notice little details such as flies buzzing around garbage & different treaded footprints in the sand 
? So much effort went into this,and i think the weapon effects are great,bullet holes in cars etc. the one downer i have is the HUD & Map/compass..i hate them,i turn them off for a cinematic experience & thankfully Rockstar implemented a chase camera so i don't have to switch them on during car chases.

I must admit the game is a bit blury.. especially Niko's face which stands out above all IMO. Not that its bad - but yeah you can certainly tell its not as crisp as games like CoD4, Burnout Paradise, or Oblivion for instance.
Regarding the game itself - it's almost perfect. Out of 10? it gets a 10/10... if we're talking finer ratings here then it gets a 9.8/10.. it's not without its faults, but it certainly makes up for it with the massive scope of the game. One of the best ive ever played for sure..

lol are u kiddin me. well i have like looked at graphcis again and ill admit they get better each time i look at em. anyone up for multiplayer at 11pm melb time. 3 and a half hours away add me.

1080p games wont happen in this gen of consoles. Only a small selection of games (mainly sports titles) will support native 1080p and there will be compromises for doing so. I don't need to remind anyone about Lair do I?

I give GTA 8.5/10... its good but not that good. Alot of things from GTA:SA and VICE should have carried on, properties etc... also the radio stations ALL suck.. there isnt a single song ive heard yet that i like or can stand and worst of all how the hell can i just disable radio outright?

IF anyone is running this on a Panasonic Viera try turning off "Mpeg Noise Reduction".
Makes the game look alot sharper, but the shadows look a little 'noisier' but it is much sharper overall.
