Hey once we get started, why don't we split ourselves into units and have each unit get to know each member well? I think what would make MGO so much better is real teamwork with communication. I think the problem a lot of people have, me included, is that they're too shy to speak to random strangers, but if we're each in close-knit units we don't have to worry about that, the game will be more fun and strategic, PLUS there's a greater chance of victory.

Are you playing an Aussie version? What's your internet speed? Wireless connection strength?

I'm surprised, I haven't gotten any lag at all.

I'm on 1500/256 adsl and my signal strength is 100. But its dosnt really look like your lagging. but you will be round a corner and still geting hit by some one how cant see you. or you try to CQC come one and it dosnt land on them even though your hands went right through them . verry annoying

So they region lock to improve performance aye? What a crock of $hit, don't even get me started on having to pay for another account so your brother/sister can play MGO on your ps3.

Every time I'm tempted to pay the oz rrp for MGS4, the region locking and konami's cheapness bring me to my senses.

Sorry to rant in the clan thread, I was a beta clan member and am frustrated at all the crap in the way of me enjoying MGO to its true potential.

Side note: The pi$$ poor average upload speeds in australia make the region lock issue a major concern, I'll be watching how the service degrades/improves over the next couple of months closely. I remember jinx saying the lag wasn't much of an issue at all when playing against americans with his asian copy.

Its a shame because if you do get into MGO the experience is quite impressive. Now that x amount of people have bought the game i don't think konami care about how MGO performs as there not getting any money for providing the service (except for charging for extra characters!). They will have a hard time selling DLC if the situation doesn't see vast improvements however.

i agree with acid... konami has made it quite a hassle, with signing up for a game id, then a konami id, with so much to set up before you actually start playing etc. hopefully it goes upwards from here..

yeah with my previous asian copy, there was hardly any lag. i never experienced the double death thingy or anything like that..

i think i posted this info on another thread - i did get some lag on sunday night with the au copy. other players kept disappearing and i got a "bad connection" msg.. and im on adsl2+ at home, which shouldnt make lag a problem at all.


winnie - i think thats a great idea. but, how exactly do we start from there? how do we split ourselves up? maybe... by where we are located?

BTW, i finished my first run of MGS4 and what an experience it was. I feel my first run was only the tip of the iceberg. I will soon start my second run with more objective in mind (like no kills, no continues, etc). I'm gonna need my guide book this time around.
