You can test them in the game, all I can suggest is check you have the batteries in right & that you have flicked them on using the button the the right of the buzzer, if they still dont work then return it.

maybe try using the batteries from the two that are working in the two that aint, could be some bad batteries even.

online there is only 3 rounds & its always the same but offline there is I think 5 or 6 rounds per game if thats what you mean.
you can play online with friends from ur psn list or by yourself against random people or you can play the mybuzz questions alone or with friends at home
offline you can play by yourself or with friends at home

From what I can tell , no you cant, you can play with a PSN friend & allow other randoms to join once you have invited who you like thou.

Sorry about the double post but it was 2 hours ago & has nothing to do with above post.
Was just watching the footy (AFL) & they had a ad for the PS3 & Buzz & they show a family of 4 in Melbourne playing against a family of 4 in Sydney over the internet. Now Im aware you can hook up 2 sets of buzzers on the one PS3 & have a 8 player game but correct me if Im wrong but you cant do what they showed on the ad. You can only have a 4 player sofa vs sofa match online & only one person from each PS3 can play online so in theory you would need 8 PS3 consoles to do what they showed on the ad even if 8 player mode was possible online. Now could this be false advertising ?

On the ad i think only one person in each family was playing though.
But maybe im wrong Idk.
It looked like they were surrounding one person with a buzzer on the couch going omg omg omg.
