and the stereo equivalent is for $109..... did someone increase the tax or something on these.???

defiently 530's, cos the 540's have a remote volume. anyway, yeah they are quite average, but Suit a mid size room, and they are better than TV speakers. what sort of setup do you have NAM187?

oh yeah the markups are a joke. the x-540 is the one ive got i think.....prety much the same. i reckon the sound is good in my little studio apt.

.....anyway on the bloody mark-ups, my local EB had a big pile of these systems for months and months going for $200, not selling at all. then one day all of a sudden they went down to $100, and by the time i decided id get one, i was walking past on my way to check k-mart, but EB had a 50% sale on, with those things included so i couldnt walk past $50

great for me, but it was obviously the same stock that had been there nearly 2 years gathering dust, and the fact that they can still make money on a $50 sale after spending a whole year trying to sell them for $200 just says it all about EB for me
