As mentioned many times before, we are in dying need of RPG (various types), because at the moment even Japan is sort of lacking in the RPG stakes. Do you agree?

Yeah, I couldn't agree more. Folklore + Oblivion are great games, but don't really count as J-RPG. I'm still waiting for a TRUE decent J-RPG. I think the only one coming up is White Knight.


Referring to 'true J-RPG" as the traditional RPG's, such as the FF's, having a party, turn-based battles (or similar) etc.

There's currently no plans to bring it out in PAL territories, but why don't you buy it from Dungeon Crawl in the City?! I bought mine there, Myk always sells games for great prices

Jrpg's are aslways lame and childish, but Final Fantasy is good, I think they should make more ones similar to Oblivion. Or possibly a modern day RPG similar to San Andreas.

That's not my point.. My point is the company has an exclusive deal with Sony.

IMO, the game looks absolutely AMAZING so the company "COULD" make other AMAZING games, likely an MMORPG, for the PS3.

I dont even think most of these games are really RPG's. They are more like action/adventure games but with a bit of cutomization. Most of then dont even let you free roam around once you've completed it.

Also I thought I'd let people know that Angel Love Online (a free MMORPG) has come out on the JPN PSN Store! It is somewhat reminiscent of Ragnarok Online and runs on the PC Servers (as in we play with PC Players!)

It supports Keyboard and Mouse and runs fairly well! (Also you don't need to be logged into your JPN PSN to play...)

Well I actually had no issues creating my character and am now running a Level 17 Dual Sworder (and upgraded the armor and weapons a bit)...

Years of playing JRPGs on PS1 & PS2 kinda give you an idea of what to do

However, some help with quests would be nice I play in the top left server...

Oh and unlike your attitude, most japanese people I meet are very nice and give you a hand with tougher battles no need to be so derogative S0NY...

There really is no decent RPG out (excluding Oblivion but i mean Japan based) Face it, you all want the new Final Fantasy XIII and Versus, these RPGs are only "good" because they keep you occupied until the eventual release of the TRUE RPG. They're good stop gaps/time fillers imo....

True there is none i know ay. Hoepfully Fallout 3 can keep me occupied along with eternal sonata know the true one im waiting for is WKC that will be the first true Jrpg on the ps3 and will be such a a Quality game that will keep me occupied for at least 3 or 4 months:) hmm we can only hope there will be 4 or 5 jrpg announcements at Tgs and they get released next year:)

New White Knight Chronicles Info Released

Ten days before Shiro Kishi Monogatari's (White Knight Chronicles) release in Japan, Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed some new details about the Level 5-developed PlayStation 3 RPG. The newest update introduces potential players to several new characters:

Playable character Eldore is a skilled swordsman and magician. The silent old man has apparently lived a life full of ups and downs. His background and the motif behind his journey are unknown, though.
