thats all i can think of now but i think some things have to be done soon. things could be a whole lot better than they are now. not like their crap by any means though.

I know a lot of people have been wanting more video codec's (mostly divx though i still can’t see why people are living in the past and using ancient codec’s) any way what if the ps3 could play every video format, and at the same time not? Sounds crazy huh well this is my idea.

Just include an AVC encoder in the XBM and when you load an AVI or MKV or even an OGG file it will appear as a little bubble on the xmb like bought games when they have just been downloaded and not installed.

Then when you click on the video the ps3 will automatically convert it and faster than most peoples pc's would.

So in a nutshell it would allow for people to play any video format with out the need to add extra codec’s.

And maybe also, a cut down version of the XMB when you press the PS button in game so you can chat to people and view background downloading content.
