Burnout Paradise - 9/10
My Review of:
By RatedY2J
Were it began
Well the Burnout series began on PS2 and has changed all racing games with the crashes the cars and all the stuff that you wouldnt suspect form a racing game. My personal favorite Burnout game on the PS2 was Burnout 3 thats the 3 in the series and posiblely the best but then Burnout pardise comes along and knocks away the competion with the graphics the abilty to free-roam the entire city and find your own races. It was just amazing and that is my im reviewing this game today.
Mommy its a Bird
After playing a little bit of Road Rage and a couple of races you start to wonder if there was anything else i could play in this game then god shows you a sign pointing to a race and it says stunt mode. Your eyes are so happy you just have to try it out and thats what you do and you start jumping around threw bill-boards flying over buliding just to get that heart pumping for more and more.
Is There Anything Else
Well there are a couple new modes that you cant wait to find out about and here they are:
The second new mode is called marked man; which is essentially a throw back to the pursuit mode of the old burnout days of yore - execpt youre the pursuee this time. Basically you have to get from point A to B with seven pissed off AI opponents vicously shunting you into oncoming traffic, walls. and even their fellow colleages in a psychotic attempt to run you off the road.
If the punishment becomes to great in this mode - or indeed any event in pardise - you can hit R1+L1 to instantly start showtime mode, which is the updated version of crash mode. Upon triggering showtime, your car will begin a slow-mo cartweel, and you can steer and propel yourself into surrounding traffic in a bid smah the the current street's damage record. Provided you've got some boost, enough victims, and the requisite savant abilties - you can merrily crash yourself, theoretically forever.
Multi-fun
Thats right you heard it you can play with your friends for hours on end with the host setting up games or just mucking around trying to beat each others top scores. It surports up to 8 players and the servers have to be the bets servers ive ever seen with no lag at all and you can get into a game without blinking. You can also change your car half way threw the game without having to quit out all the time infact you can do all the things you could do not playing online execpt for racing unless the host makes a game to play.
Burnout is Back and Better Than Ever
Well it looks like Burnout is back and it couldnt be better if you are not sure about the game then just download the demo then make your choice because the demo is hell awsome. At the cost of $100 its a pretty small price to pay when you are getting what might be the best racing game on the PS3 and the best Burnout game of all time.
Overall score
Gameplay - 9.6/10
Graphics - 10/10
Value - 9/10
Sound - 9/10
Controls - 10/10
