Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood takes place during and after the American Civil War. Ray and Thomas McCall start the game as soldiers in the Confederate army and fight against the Union. Unfortunately they quickly become deserters after they found that their home and farm are endangered by the Union forces. They disobey orders and leave the trenches to defend their home in Georgia. This sets in motion the chain of events which leads both brothers across America. Chased because of desertion, they try to make their way through lawless Wild West to find the legendary gold of Juarez and retrieve their home.
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is aimed to make the player experience the "wildest West ever created". The game derives from spaghetti-western genre: gunslingers, outlaws, duels, prison breaks, bank robberies, stagecoach chases and conflicts with Native Americans, similar to the video game Gun. It features two characters, brothers Ray and Thomas. The game plot is set in the American Civil War period and presents adventures of two brothers across different parts of North America.
Guns in the game are recreated from their historical 19th century counterparts. The player can choose between different types of pistols, rifles, shotguns and heavy weapons (Gatling gun). During gameplay, cannons are also available. Apart from conventional firearms, characters can use other weapons such as throwing knives or bows.
