Fallout 3 GOTY Edition!

Everyone remember the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY Edition that came with the 2 extra expansions already on it? Remember how excited and happy you all were to see that the two packs were already on the disk and you could play the game the way it was meant to be? Well now it's Fallout 3's turn in the spotlight with "Fallout 3 GOTY Edition" soon coming on to store shelves. It will be released on October 13th 2009 for America for $59.99 (USD), no word yet when it will be released to other regions around the world.

The game will come with all the expansions that were previously only available on the 360 version of the game but it will also come out with the other expansions into the game that you will be able to buy separately for the PS3 version. This also means that besides the expansions that were announced for PS3 compatability, the ones for the 360 version will also be available separately some time later this year. This GOTY edition comes with all the newest expansions once it is released later this year.

For people like me (who have had the unfortunate luck of not having this game) this GOTY Edition is fantastic news and the fact that it will sell at the same price as the regular game is even better meaning people who buy this game get all the expansions free.

Sorry, but I'm not at all surprised. I was expecting this ever since the announcements of multiple DLC's. And I was also expecting it to come tout around the time indicated. Go news anyway, I'd expect this to arrive in Australian within weeks after the US release.

yeah i am not really surprised by the thing myself but i am surprised that they are putting everything on it unlike how they did not put those few extra add-ons on the Oblivion GOTY version. the ones that are PC and 360 only. thieves den, stronghold, etc. it gets me so excited! my brain hurts from the joy and pure doped feeling i get from reading my own article over and over again.

I've been holding off on buying Fallout 3 cos I knew this was coming.
The fact that the GOTYE won't cost any extra only strengthens my resolve in not buying the Standard Edition.

The 360 GOTY version was announced a couple of weeks before F3 dlc was announced on ps3. Its was all over this site for weeks that a GOTY edition would also be coming to the ps3.

They didnt make an uncut version. After the game was changed for AUS to get rid of references to morphine, it was changed for the rest of the world as well.

It was mentioned a couple of times in the fallout 3 thread. I am disbelieving the release date. According to the fallout 3 website, the 1st dlc should allready be out, with a new one floowing every 4-6 weeks. So by that the goty edtion would be out before the dlc would be finished.
