Lateral Thinking Puzzles

I think we should start another thread for some fun! This thread is similar to the gaming trivia thread, made recently, the difference being, this thread is a Q & A game on riddles.

RULES: A riddle is asked and then attempted to be answered by the MyPS3 community. Once the riddle has been successfully answered, the member with the first correct answer may have his or her turn at asking the next riddle.

Once the riddle asker has acccepted the answer, the person who made the correct guess may then assume ownership of the thread and deliver the next riddle.

Riddle 1: A man is on a holiday and he is staying at a hotel, he needs a haircut so he goes to the lobby of the hotel and asks the receptionist if there are any hair salons in town, she tells him there are 2 one on the west side of town and one of the east side of town, so he goes to the west side of town and the barber's haircut is very snazzy and the shop is looking very clean and polished. so then he pays a visit to the east side of town and the guys haircut is crappy and his shop is dingy and dirty.

Which barber does he go to and why?
