I've got a 81cm Samsung R series, which looks great running the PS3 through HDMI. Of course my dream is for a 40 inch 1080p display, and when the price drops I'll be off to the shops. Ideally I would get a 37 inch, but the only manufacturer i've found is Schaub Lorenz with 1080p. This is preferable as it's for my bedroom and 40 inches is a tad too big. So what TV have you got and what would you like to get? Toshiba and Hitachi now make 37 inch 1080p LCD TVs.

I have a 26" Philips HD LCD... Does the job but would love a bigger TV that does full 1080p as mine only does 1080i. You can't have it all though I suppose

Uh no, they are mine...

Why do you always have to be the black rock in the white pool? Please consider that as basic human beings, we are all different. There is simply no point in degrading others just for the sake of your own satisfaction.

Yes, I bought all 3 TVs with my own money, happy? You are not a very nice person; may I simply put it in "basic human" language so that "basic human beings" can understand? If you have any issues please PM the admins or myself and leave the negativity out of the forum.

If you're a sports viewer then the X would be better off since 120Mhz is included.

Otherwise the W is a good choice

well James if you need any help then I will be your TV servant Just don't base your purchase purely on what the salesperson say, base it on what you prefer and what you know (experience from others would help). For example, an average salesperson would not know what the hell x.v.Y.c.c is, or even the significance of 24fps. Usually it is best to know your targeted product(s) from head to toe.

Melad HOLD OFF BUYING IMMEDIATELY! New TVs are coming!!! Unless you are desperate for a new TV right now, then I'd say go for the Sharp.
However All 3 TVs have their own issue:

Bravia X: Uneven and cloudly backlight

Samsung M8: Movie Plus issue
www.dtvforum.info/

Sharp Aquos: Colour Banding

A comparison (sorry no Samsung here)
Bravia X on top, Sharp Aquos bottom left and a Pioneer plasma

look at the black level!

The Sharp Aquos by no means is the best out of the 3 TVs (Samsung would be first but the Movie Plus problem really gives people the sh*ts). If you can hold off until September/October then the next gen Bravia X would be the best choice, or until the next gen Aquos is out.

The Sharp Aquos would be a better choice because it produces better colours and a higher level of gradation. The Aquos TVs are also produced in a 9th generation panel factory, compared to Sony and Samsung's 8th gen factory - Samsung and Sony's panels are made at the same factory.
