The raw power of the PS3 isn't astounding at all. As I said, it's not new technology, it's different technology. You don't understand the numbers. Put simply, the Cell processor is like a factory that can produce 100 boxes a day, but can only get 50 out the door. That's where 360 is better... it might only be able to produce 80 boxes a day, 20 less than the PS3, but it can get every single one out the door. Thus outperforming it.
Dev tools are everything, the most powerful console rarely wins the console war. You say it's still early days? Well, you've been under a rock for too long because there's already been over ten million 360's sold. And I'm not here to discuss Windows, Lol! If you don't like it, go use a Mac you n00b! I like my .EXE's and the ability to right click!
