If you haven't used it for say 10 mins the first time you press a button it will say "that function is not available here". Press it again and it works.

I was thinking it was a safety measure in case you accidentally press a button...because it's bluetooth so it don't need to be pointed at the ps3. But then again sometimes i accidentally bump the remote and it powers the whole ps3 on.

Bluetooth is crap i'd rather a normal remote

But you can't do anything now, you'll be fairly happy with the remote, it is a lot easier to use than the game controller.

You can get third party IR ones that run of a receiver in the USB port. They don't seem to have as many buttons (and I guess functions) as the Sony one though - so I guess they just purely replicate the controller simple functions.

Hi guys how are ya's. Hey for some reason my bt 135 bluetooth headset is causing me some strife. I've replaced it once thinking it was faulty but that didn't help. The playstation won't locate the thing when scanning it on the 'scanning screen'. I don't understand it. The light indicator is very weird too. When first plugged in to charge it goes solid blue for about 20 mins then goes off. And the so called on and off procedure on the thing doesn't show any response at all. Any suggestions??

How do you actually recharge the bluetooth one? There is not too much out there on PS3 remotes, I've been finding. I will be using mine for a Blu Ray and DVD player pretty extensively and do not want to use the controller - but am looking for guidance/experience. It seems most people's experience is the bluetooth one is not to hot.
