The 60GB model only has 2 extra USB ports, a card reader, more memory and a SMALL AMOUNT of B.C Not worth the extra $300 if you ask me That being said, i have the 60GB model anyway

But you think Sony would get it right first time round with BC.. We pay 1000 for it and not for the PS2 games to work is flaw..

I just mean that if BC is such a big thing to you, you probably have a large amaount of PS2 games, so why not just keep your PS2?

I've been very pleased with how a lot of PS2 games look upscaled to 1080p but disappointed that Wipeout fusion and the guitar hero games don't work with it.

80gb PS3's have not been released in Australia. Possibly your mate upgraded the HDD himself to 80gb?
