I have a Hong Kong version, if you use the auto-update within the PS3 I think it downloads from a dedicated server, but I have also downloaded it off the US site and it works exactly the same.

I think they have set it up like the PSP updates, so any update will work on any PS3.

Yeah I've got Casino Royale, but it is Region free. Alot of movies are region free, depending on which studio produces it, there is a list of tested movies somewhere on here, otherwise I have to get region A movies.

Yep, I've got demos from the US, Hong Kong & Aussie PS stores and they all seem to work fine, but I am always running in 720P HD, there may be a few PAL/NTSC compatability issues if you are using an SDTV.
