This has really pissed me off.!!
I sold my old console cause i wanted some extra cash now while i had my old console i downloaded a total of 19 songs on the singstore now thats a fair few songs i bought there isnt it.
Anyway i got my new console signed up as my old name - HiHoSylvia, went into singstore, purchase history and it has all my songs i have downloaded i try download them on to my new console and it says sorry you can not do this as these songs are associated with another machine! I AM LIVID!
I paid for the darn songs!!!

Yeah downloaded content is associated with the unique machine id - otherwise you could just go to friends' places and re-download everything that you've paid for for them. Your best bet is to call Sony and see what they can do for you.
