I just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up that a PS3 firmware update (v2.35) will be released shortly. This is a relatively minor update to improve stability of some PS3 titles.

As you should already know, firmware 2.35 is now available for download. On the official Playstation Blog, where the news has erupted, user stlthriot asked in a comment if the new firmware would fix GTA IV.

For those of you who may still have an issue playing the game on your PS3, we have identified a solution that should resolve the issue. When it's actually a juicy update with decent features it's worth it... but a 0.05 increment to 'improve stability'??? What a waste of time! Just hold out til the next major update or make it an optional update rather than forcing me to update it when I'm not even having any dam problems
