I would like for some help to narrow my list down to at least 2 games

I would honestly go for COD4 and Motorstorm, They're your best bets.

Same for me, first FPS on a console that has hooked me soo bad... IMHO, its a must have game!!

The simpsons game is supposed to be terrible if your not a simpson fan and just bareable if you are. ratchet and clank would be ab better platformer choice

motorstorm is pretty average as a single player game.
Resistance is a decent game but made out to be better than it is.
COD4 made a lot of game of the year awards so thats probably a safe bet.
Heavenly sword is a decent game but you can finish it in an overnite rental and you probably wont go back to it.

I think the best games on PS3 so far are uncharted: drakes fortune and oblivian
