Playstation 3 Hardware \ My one broke.

Hey,

I bought a 20gb PS3 in Osaka Japan in January. Just recently it has stopped loading all games. I called Sony Australia they said they couldn't fix it because I bought it in Japan. I emailed Sony Japan and they said I couldn't fix it because I live in Australia. So right now I don't really have much of an option but to just buy a new PS3 over here in Australia, but i was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to fix this problem or if anyone wants to buy the hardware and use it for themselves, otherwise it'll just sit there and not be used at all.

I did neglect to mention that but when they asked for the serial number they knew it was Japanese and they said because of the region coding and something about it being built differently. I might call again I don't really see why they shouldn't fix it.

Its as if the console is crashing as soon as its powered up. i reset the video output by pressing the power button for 5 seconds or so to take back the video output to default. the ps3 does turn off when i hold down the standby button but when i turn it on again i still get no display. I did manage to get display once but it crashed at the user setup screen. I tried it with hdmi/component/composite cables but it didn't solve anything.

i too have a problem with my 60gb jap PS3 but its not the display, but some of the games i play =S has anyone attempted to fix their PS3 from that website that pezza sent??
