That was my score for it www.myps3.com.au/ and obviously you all have conflicting opinions it, but after MGS4 and a few other great titles, do you still think it's so good? I mean, games evolve and perceptions change over time, so do you still think it's as unique and amazing as it was 2 months ago when it was released?

I've had it for 4 or 5 weeks now and haven't got close to finishing it yet, I lost interest in the storyline half way through and found the missions to repetitive. I got a few other games around the same time that have kept me from going back to it. Prob around a 7 out of 10 all up from me, fun in patches but repetitive and predictable.

Houses with garages and heliports, the ability to fly planes, buying property, a casino all of the cool stuff that was in previous games was sadly lacking from this one.

Definitely still a 10/10 game imo, im still finding new things happening even now.What makes it any different to what it was 2 months ago? Its not like they remove features each day. I do agree to an extent that perhaps MGS4 kinda stamped on its parade abit, but i only judge GTA IV for what it is, i dont compare it to anything else really, hence why i probably still find it one of the best games around.

there are too many flaws for how high a score its received everywhere.

id say 7-8. huge part that drags the score down is the driving to lengthen missions, and how repetitive the missions are... plus all the normal flaws that you would expect to be ironed out of most games.

I have a very similar view, except i did finish it hoping the missions would start to improve in their creativity and comedic charm. Unfortunately they never did, graphically gta4 is an impressive achievement but the gameplay has gone backwards.

Instead of tanks, car customization, owning businesses, planes, massive playing field and hilarious missions. We get spam, constant whining cell calls, annoying accents, crap music, boring missions, basically a game that forgot its own heritage and while trying to come across as "refined and sophisticated" ends up being pretentious and over confident.

Thankfully the uncut version only cost me $68 delivered to my door.

well, id say that GTA is definately not still number 10 for me, because of several things. one of the main reasons is the story line is so repetitive, all you do is go arouund like a hitman and kill kill kill. yes , the online is good,,but im not sure. i'd say, from 10/10 to 8/10
