Never understand what NAT Type ? is! What does it do? And I too have looked at how to change it without success! Is there an easier way?

I think it might be your nat type that is causing the problems.

doing that port forwarding should give you nat type 2. if it dosnt then I'd put your PS3's ip adress in your routers DMZ, if it has one.

yeh you cna just put your PS3's IP address in your routers DMZ. but this opens up every port to your PS3. its a security risk. but it will give a better nat type.

damn cod4 bugs, i really really hope cod6 is a better version of 4, whats the damn hurry leaving the genre?

Apart from CoD4, haven't really been too fussed about crappy connections...I may try 'portforward' if it gets worse on other games. Thanks longarms.

yeh, but its still more of a risk than not opening any ports at all

I found a reason that was causing that error for me, I had media servers turned on (WMP) and it was stuffing it up. Turned it off and problem fixed
