Social \ whats with all the 17 and up game's?

i love the ps3 and the games but is it me or does it look like almost all the big hits on the ps3 are 17+ so far the three games i have are all rated M and there is alot of games that i want that are also rated whats your thought on this? i know that most of the games need to be rated m to be the game that they are but isnt it a little to much?

A Reason why alot of games are rated so high theses days its cause of the graphics and effects. The fact they they look more and more real requires them to make a harsher rating.

the only parents that wouldnt get there kids M games are uptight ones who are like hell worried about what their chilren are exposed to.
i can understand this at like 8,9 and 10
but basically when a childs older than that, most parents dont worry about the M rating..
The US is far, far, far more strict on that kind of thing, its way mor laid back in Australia

Pay some bum to buy the game you want if the shop wont sell it to you then when you get home get the liquid paper out & cover the M & replace it with a E for Everyone LOL

I'm 16, i'll be turning 17 next March so no surprise for me. Besides that's one of the reason why i bought the PS3 because i knew it wouldn't have all those kiddy game that the Wii offers.
I am so used to the M17+ games that i keep thinking they are T rated games

in the u.s they do ask for id if they think your not old enough which is stupid they dont ask for it always but they ask for it from your looks
