Social \ Does Sony deserve our money?

With all the delays and the broken promises made to us from 2006 onwards, for those who invested on Sony from the beginning of the life of PS3...did Sony deserve 'your' hard earned cash a year ago?

To me it feels as though they're now only starting to show what they've teased us with! (finally)

Fankly, no. Everything so far has been a bitter disapointment. There have been a handful of great titles. But apart from that, the rest is all multi-platform.

I went whole-heartedly into the next-gen with my PS3, I've easily spent over 2.3k on my PS3...that's the console, and games / accessories.

At the moment, i feel there is nothing special about having a PS3. Quite a few of the major titles i purchased it for, went multi-platform. DMC / Resident Evil / FF13 / GTA4. Online wise, the PSN is a joke. The new Video service is for the U.S PSN (just one of the many issues). I mean seriously, what else can i say. Just disapointments and broken promises.

But I will wait it out, and hope for some major improvements in the long run.

I realise it wasn't a complete exclusive, as RE4 was on GC, but 2-3 were on the PS etc etc.

Well my answer is no! and thats why i just traded my ps3 for an Xbox 360 elite its so fustrating being promised things that are taking forever and they are always playing catch up.
I will most likely buy one later down the track when Sony finally feel like pulling their finger out but till then i'm going back to xbox

im on the same wavelength as matrix..... its just been a whole bunch of lies hasnt it. Originally i got my ps3 for ff13 which at the time they were saying could only ever be possible on the ps3, and mgs4.

but what now??? im thinking of getting an xbox at the end of the year... but i dont know..... im not really a big fan of microsoft, but atleast they have heaps of jrpg's and alot of support from other companies due to there over sized wallet.

my ps3 will be justified by mgs4 which i can definatly live with, but if mgs4 goes to the xbox ''which from an article i read'' are already starting to sweet talk Konami, i think ive given them my last cent...............

Yes. That's right, it only occurred to me now, Sony IS playing "CATCH UP!"

This is Sony's learning curb. Their 1st attempt was to lure gamers in...eventually! 2nd time 'round they slowly had us at..."PS2". Xbox failed it's mark.1, then first back quickly to steal an opportunity while Sonly and Nintendo were taking their time and were laid back watching cashflow.

NOW, Sony is in a position they've never been to before...although PS2 was expensive, there were no competition. They thought the 3rd time round would be a breeze...to me, they were very wrong! (partly
