I have a router + modem in my brothers room, and the modem or router, don't know which is connected to the computer. So of course for good connection i have to put the PS3 in his room

Anyways so if i wanted to put the playstation in the lounge room, because theres a bigger tv Could i just get a router + modem, put them behind the tv then just connect it to the PS3 or do i need a computer to be there also

@Unhostile, if your brother's router has more ports to hook up more ethernet cables then you just next an extended one to reach lounge room. Is it not wireless, so then you could set up your PS3 wireless! Otherwiese, if you're getting another modem/router...just get a wireless with a 'dongle' for your brother PC! And set up the modem/router in the lounge room so that you can hook it up to your PS3 (for better connection) and have the PC wireless.

My internet is wireless.. so my ps3 to the internet is wireless also..
I have been trying to find an internet booster but no-one has on. And i don't think my brother will want to do the dongle thingy with the router/modem in the lounge room

Having the modem/router in the lounge wont effect his connection, my router sends my internet connection around the whole house & I get full strength on all appliances.
