the difference is
it is not backwards compatible,
your looking at two usb slots instead of the four,
it also does not have the memory card readers. and im fairly sure its not chromed.. (but that im not sure, just heard thing bout it). someone also mentioned the ps thing didnt spin lol but i think thats bull**** hahaha
and of course the 40 gig drive. are the big things that changed

i can't belive sony has done this to us, the usb port's and card reader arn't a problem, you can buy cheap external ones that connect to your ps3 through your usb.

But the biggest mistake they have made is getting rid of the backwards compatibility, don't they realise that their biggest selling paltform is the ps2.

shouldn't they just have advertised the fact more heavily that the 60gb ps3 has ps3 backwards compatibility, insted of sliming their already anorexic slim ps2, and cutting away a great feture of the ps3.

i tried this with a logitech control and it didnt work. i heard normal devices like media players work fine.
