PS3 News \ Home To Continue On To Future PlayStation Consoles

A recent interview with CVG, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Home service manager Dan Hill puts an answer to the question of whether the Playstation Home service will continue on and expand on future Playstation consoles.
His response to this is,

"Home is a brand-new service and no-one else is doing anything of this scale or ambition." "Its potential is almost limitless in terms of where it could go. We see it as having a very long and fruitful life."

Dan Hill also hints at future development for immediate cross-platform plans and making the service available on the Playstation Portable..
He stated,

"We're looking at possible future directions for the service, but at the moment we're focusing on making Home as good as it can be, and getting content, activities and spaces into the service that are genuinely going to add something to the PlayStation experience, and make it a very special place for our community."

Playstation Home is a unique experience and the limits of what Sony can achieve from it are simply endless. As Sony and Playstation grow, so will Playstation Home.

If the PS3 is multimedia hub... then why the hell does it have this barebones music player? Should have Now Playing and Playlist on the same screen like common computer programs.. betting organisation of music.. letting us set it up using a computer-type filing system.
Theres so much that could be worked on before anyone would give a stuff about Home.. although i do look forward to game-launching sorta feature it WILL have in future.

Its Free. What do you expect? Sony provide all of these things to you free of charge,no yearly subscriptions no up front costs. Free.

Exactly...they're leaving too much sh!t unfinished just to give us an unfinished product in HOME...doesnt make sense

I really hope they dont make this a sole priority......just give us what the PS2 gave us....games and ALOT of them...maybe even some exclusives would be nice...im not saying dont stick with HOME (I wish they would scrap it though) but dont take the focus of what the console is made for; games!
