PS3 Slim records 500,000units sold world-wide.
During last week, the PS3 Slim has rocketed sales, recording over half a million units sold according to Vgchartz.com. This shows a whopping 400% increase in one week.
Some regions in Europe clocked a tenfold increase in sales, while another 250,000 were sold in regions such as Asia, Australia and Africa. In japan, VgChartz has confirmed with Famitsu magazine that over 150,000 units have been sold. American sales have also increased with over 125,000 units being sold.1
PS3 software has also recorded increased sales, as many PS3 multiplatform games have oversold their 360 counterparts. VgChartz.com expect a dropoff during next week but believe that the PS3 will dominate most of September.
This information also links in with the PS3’s 100% increase in sales for the UK.
It seems that the PS3 Slim is here to stay.
