Now before anyone asks, I don't know if Australia gets it. I hope so, because I'd prefer purchasing it locally ...

Anyway, did anyone get an e-mail from The Beatles Rock Band Pre-order Club?





I really want this. I'm considering purchasing the instruments all over again ... if they're worth it xD



UPDATE: The whole kit is slated to launch worldwide this September, with USers having to pay $249, Europeans paying €199 and Britons paying £179.

I think the price is so high because it will come with a guitar, bass, mic & drums. Wonder if they will have the Gearge Harrison guitar or Johh Lennon, Paul McCartney bass will probely be a replica of his bass that looked like a big violin.

$249US, we will be paying like $400AU, thats a fairly expensive bundle, Ill be giving it a miss, maybe just get the game.

I am going to get it as well. I have RB1 & RB2 and I hope this has Helter Skleter, Rocky Racoon and My Guitar Gently Weeps. The White Album should be ranked as the best album of all time.

I am thinking of buying the bundle so I have the two awesome guitars it comes with

Yeah i too want that bundle. My favourite album is abbey road. The Phill spectre wall of sound version not paul mccartney's remix.

It's a definite purchase for me. I might get it from the same online store I bought my Rock Band 2 Special Edition from!

And also, it's placing questions whether it'd be a wise idea if I buy GH:WT right now or not (for the Expert+ in GH: Metallica)

No no no. I've pre-ordered GH Metallica, and EB will give me a free foot pedal. Idea is, the GH:WT drums can support 2 foot pedals. Rock Band 2 drums doesn't support 2 foot pedals. And plus, GH:M has some extra difficulty level called Expert+ I believe.

and no chance at platinum now lol.

Metallica's platinum looks so much easier then rockband 2

nm im dumb #%^& lol i have guitar hero drums i thought i had rockband ones geez sometimes im very stupid.

I love the look of those guitars, pity i really dont like rock band guitar. The GHWT guitar is so much better.

I'll agree to you on this one. I do like the GH:WT guitar a lot (there, before anyone says I'm biased towards Rock Band rofl)

However, I do like it how the Rock Band 2 guitar is much thinner and how it's easier to press the fret buttons (this second one might be a weird me thing ...)

But I do really hate the RB2 guitar strummer. The special sunburst one I bought from the US, the strummer's destroyed. Damn friends haha.
Wonder if I can fix it like I did with the RB1 one.

I ask this, because if you pre-order now you get a pre-order 9 digit code which gets you exclusive access at the www.thebeatlesrockband.com web site. Don't know what content, but I want to find out!!

But yea, only thing stopping me is ... will Australia get The Beatles Rock Band? I remember them saying its a 9 Sept worldwide release, but is that referring to only US and UK/Europe? =/

They'll release the game here for sure. The only thing that's up in the air is if they're releasing the whole bundle here also. If you noticed in all the press releases, they give the prices in all the currencies EXCEPT Australian/NZ dollars.

Either way, we still may need to buy the US version. We don't know yet if this game can incorporate existing DLC or can be exported out in the future. Because we are heavily invested in the US version(s), I don't think it'd be safe to buy the Australian version of anything Rockband related incase of future export/dlc issues.

That's the thought that's running at the back of my head constantly.
I own American versions of Rock Band 1 and Rock Band 2.
I've bought stacks of Rock Band DLC songs off the American PSN Store.

Even if Beatles RB is released in Aus, maybe it's unwise of me to buy it here.

Oh, I know. Maybe pre-order the game disc, and if the game's released here in Aus ... buy those instruments locally? xD

Especially since they've confirmed RB2 instruments work in Beatles RB.
