Modern Warfare 2 adds new way to shoot 'em up

Infinity Ward removed Co-op from the games Single player Campaign in "Modern Warfare 2" and has instead put in a two-player experience called Spec Ops mode.

As creator Robert Bowling says, "It's all about you and your buddy, "Spec Ops is more than just running and gunning."

In this mode players can unlock 20 missions that are completely separate from the game's single and multiplayer storyline. It can be played online or split-screen with a friend.

Bowling adds "It's not just go in and kill everybody, some will have snowmobile racing, some will have elimination where you choose on how to take out enemies and we also have things like getting from Point A to Point B and survive. And it doesn't mean that they'll be stuck with the same ol' firepower."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is slated for a multi-platform release November 10th.
