Assassins Creed 2 Pre-Orders surging past AC1

Ubisoft are out of stables this holiday season as CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that Assassins Creed 2 pre-order sales are 80% higher than its predecessor.

Guillemot is hoping that these figures will mean more sales after the game is released: "We are waiting to see how this translates to an increase in sales," he said. "It's an interesting number, but it doesn't give you all the information."

Assassins Creed 2 is coming to Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 19th, 2009.

This is hardly surprising considering how many people own a PS3 now compared with how many people owned a PS3 when the first Assassins Creed
was released.

played this last night at ign black beta. was not impressed at all. my friend said its exactly like assasins creed 1, but with a few extra kill animations. it seems pretty boring to me, but if you like the first one then ull like number 2

AC1 was fantastic until the 5th time I had to ride across the ****en country and climb another 20 ****en towers.

I'm getting ac2, but after the first 2hrs if it follows the same format it will be going back. I will be hiring this from EB. I'll pay the extra $30 just so I am able to return it.

ahh were you there aswell. did you like it? i got a go and it keeped glitching. and the ubisoft chick told me it is the bugged version, then i was thinking why the hell would they have a event night with bugged games going.. stupid move there ubisoft...
