Ezio to star in Assassin's Creed 3

Ubisoft has just announced that Ezio will again star as the hero in the next Assassin's Creed game, also being developed by Ubisoft Montreal.

The story is set to be a follow-up to Assassin's Creed 2.

"We have a new Assassin's Creed that we expect will be a very high quality product that as well as an offline component will have a multiplayer component," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said today.

"It is the same studios because it's not only one studio creating the game, but an association of studios and they are working together to make it happen."

First off, there has already been news on this, 2nd it's not Assasins Creed 3 (I'm pretty sure) but instead a spin off game (similar to what resident evil did ) to keep people satisfied between The 2nd game and 3rd....

I thought AC3 was going to be in the future/present with Desmond as the new assassin, having learned the required skills through the DNA sequences of Altair and Ezio

Enzio will be older in this new AC game so I suspect he will have a apprentice or possibly a child to carry on his family trade (professional assassin).
