No the highest you can have in a team is 8. So it has squads of 8 with 1 leader.

but overall there is 16 squads of 8. so basically there is 128 players on each side. btw is this an exclusive to ps3?

Aww come on that was for the first few days. Home is lag free now It's made by the guys who made the original socoms on ps2.. and apparently they were good for ps2 servers.
