News \ HD-DVD bails on CES press conference
Well it seems that the news of Warner Brothers going Blu-Ray exclusive has caused a bigger impact than initially thought, it was enough for the company to cancel its pre-CES press conference. An email notification was sent out to all invitees stating that they are "currently discussing the potential impact of this announcement with the other HD DVD partner companies and evaluating next steps."
Now I know that there’s no need to gloat about the competitor struggling, instead we should look at this as a positive for Blu-Ray in the HD format war, if we start seeing more movie companies going Blu-Ray exclusive then Sony has greater odds on dominating this market.
