I will be only getting one for another room when i move into my new house provided all the main specs are the same. Theres no way i will be trading/selling my ps3 to do it though, if i didnt need it for another room and it wasnt that cheap i would just stick with mine.

The only way I would get a slim is when I get it for my son and even then I may look around for a fat model and not even look at the slim. I think the slim looks crap. I much profer my fat ps3.

Replacing your hdd with a bigger one doesn't void your warranty according to Sony. But if you do it incorrectly??? Then maybe?

I was expecting BC on the slim.

at the moment I have

40gb NTSC
60gb NTSC 60gb (faulty)

So I am in the market to get a PAL. Thinking of getting a PAL 60GB with BC now.

Still not sure whether $ony will put in BC via software in the future. Wasting too much on hardware and software as is already.

p.s where the hell are the modchips to allow me to set Region Free PS2 games.!! grrr.

Mate you can buy them brand new for $200 bucks- if you can get $130 for your 360 take it you won't get much more for it- or evan better put a big fire cracker inside it and blow the s**t out of it

FINALLY!!!

I went to the Swanston St, Melbourne City midnight launch...picked my Slim up for a discounted price, and was 99% happy (the 1% unsatisfactory feeling was due to the fact that the tiny PS logo on the console cannot be rotated to suit the vertical console stance positioning) with my purchase.
