Alrite so FW 3.0 is finally out. What do you guys think about it so far?

Apart from the fugly gray boxes, I thought the FW update was good. It made the PSN store run much faster which made me appreciate it more.

I feel the new features for "what's new" in 3.0 Are another in your face eye candy puller for people to spent money at PS stores. Another way Sony's trying, pulling you in. spent spent spent.

I don't have any real problem with the update, though can't say I'm over the moon seeing any real improvements.

I'll probably get over It in a week.

Oh! and grey boxes = ugly.

I think they couldn't do any better. Go SONY!! They are doing a great job on the ps3 and i can't wait for more updates.

I only use it for games and never for music or photos. What is the grey boxes. I don't know? Is it the thing on the picture?

I LOVE IT...Mainly because I went to the Swanston St, Melbourne City midnight launch...picked my Slim up for a discounted price, and was 99% happy (the 1% unsatisfactory feeling was due to the fact that the tiny PS logo on the console cannot be rotated to suit the vertical console stance positioning) with my purchase.

I love any updates Sony sends our way, but the 1 beef I have with this update is, everything, the icons etc, are wayyy too BIG for my liking, I have to sit further back now to enjoy it

That aside I love the new thingy bar top right for some reason, telling you how many friends online at the same time and if you got any messages and the new analogue clock/loading status thingy. OH! And I love how I can see what everyone's playing at the same time now, without having to hover over a certain user to see if they're playing anything

And I still think it would've been nice if they could've bundled in some free dynamic themes to try on this new firmware rather than seriously taking the **** by teasing us with that video of dynamic themes and then only giving us 2, a LBP one on "US" Store which costs money and 1 Free one on the "Jap" Store

It's just some Zebras ponce-ing aroond, and it gets quite annoying after awhile so I just changed back to hardcore sparklez, the deep blue colour, brightness -4

**EDIT**
Wasn't doing anything so I went back on Jap account to find out where it is again, just 4 u...

Click the PlayStation Store Icon, then click again (first option[already hovering over the first one by default]), go Right[x2] then down[x1]. AKA the one with a picture of a Zebra and it has a yellow 'plus' icon top left corner hope this helpz and izn't too confusing.

I just installed it and i dont have a problem with it but that is because i never used the old one as i just got my ps3 slim today. I guess its like the new Facebook update that happened last year, some hate it and some Love it, either way its not changing so get used to it LOL!

Not happy, it killed my white DS3, probably my fault though
buying a imported White DS3 I think its a counterfeit model.

Fixed the problem though, I paid $435 for another PS3 controller, It comes bundled with a new PS3 slim.

(edit: no not an extra one, just the one with the slim)

I hope I can play Uncharted without crashing when it arrives next week.

Please Sony Fix this V3.0 with a new bug free update.

for an update, i really think that they should just make everything a bit more readable, or give us a text size option so that you can have the text as big as you want! and what happened to auto load, and my ps3 freezes, it never has!

I think the update is so minor that majority of the hardcore gamers will just ignore the difference...

For me, I would prefer Sony spend more time on improving their game design tool for other game company, so it's easier for them to make a better game in every aspect.

I love PS3, big fanboy. It hurts for me to say, but Xbox 360 game (multi-platform game of course) almost always looks better, and load better...have a look below link, you will all know what i am talking about..
