Finish Uncharted & Get Rewarded in Uncharted 2

The Official PlayStation Blog has revealed a nice little surprised for gamers who finished the first Uncharted when they boot-up the sequel, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

If you completed Uncharted, and still have the save game on your hard-drive (damn fool if you deleted it), you'll be treated to $100,000 to spend at the Uncharted 2 in-game store.

“If you have a saved game of a completed playthrough of Uncharted 1 then you get $100,000 to spend in the store for Uncharted 2," said lead Game Designer at Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann. "We didn’t go with the platinum because we wanted to reward more players.”

It's certainly a great incentive for loyal fans of the series, and something we hope to be implemented in other games.

They're not rewarding Platinum achievers as they know it was easy to get Platinum anyway.

but i think like trophies,
you're game save will have to correspond with your console/psn login.
So the idea of using someone elses may not work.
There's been an .sfo editor released in the last few days i've been playing with but it requires a bit of hex knowlege and then still i may not get it because some data in the sfo is still encrypted.

I'm not even sure if they check if it's your's or not.

My game save was a NTSC one, and my PAL Uncharted 2 couldn't find it. But I've already earned the platinum.

I went to Game FAQs and downloaded a PAL game save, and my game found it afterwards.

So yea, maybe you can just download a game save ... or maybe it's because I already earned the plat ... *shrugs*

I was spending my money and noticed it and it gave me monies.

Same. I'd forgotten I had a US version of Uncharted
But I think back then, most games weren't region locked for saves and dlc.
I have CoD4 (US version), Aussie DLC worked for it!

I found that feature without even knowing about it.. I not only clocked Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, but Platinumed it as well!
