1. I want to continue using HMDI for the video connection, but as my LCD has terrible speakers;

2. I want to output the audio through my Audioengine speakers which just run via Composite audio (red + white cords)

I have selected composite audio via sound settings but still nothing.

Do i have to remove HMDI cord and use on the Multi/Composite setup?

I have mine going through HDMI to my LCD TV, then using composite out from my TV to my AUX IN in my stereo.
So I'm guessing yours would need to be similar to that setup.

Yeah, you should be able to select hdmi for video and standard audio... try the most basic audio settings 1st and work your way up...

Make sure the cables are not loose. Are you sure you chose "composite" and not "component"? Check that.
