Is anyone else having problems with the PS3 freezing while playing modern warfare 2?

I also haven't got any trophies yet.

Does anyone know of a solution?

Do you mean that your ps3 is locking up (not responding at all making you turn ps3 on then off?)

Trophies arent just for doing story mode, you have to do certain things to get them

Yeah my PS3 beeps and goes blank.

I have to hold the power button down to get it going again.

I've deleted the game data from the original upgrade and is all sweet now. I'm just going to finish off story mode now.

Don't think you can play online without the upgrade.

Mine has had no problems. Trophies come up nearly instantly and theres no bugs or glithces and has never froze...yet

i have no trophies yet and have done things that give you trophies like killing an enemy with a riot shield and a few other things.

my screen drops out in the menu, and pause menu sometimes, (just goes black) and normally if it is a handshake error (hdmi problem) the screen says no signal. But it doesn't the signal is still there just goes blank. It has frozen several times on the menu screen. I still can't get online either.

I have trophies fine, but didn't get any til act 3. I'm replaying on hardened now and they are coming through fine.

pretty sure you need firmware 3.01 to fix the faults, but for people who have fw 3.01, a patch is coming out really soon, fourzerotwo announced it on twitter

but soon started again, either than that never happened

Yep, that's right. Sit tight.
Or you can decline the 1.01 update ... you can still earn trophies that way. I earned all the Veteran trophies now However, it also means that you can't play online.

mine was freezing in the beginning but it just stopped.

the trophies have been weird as though, they worked during the first act or so, then stopped for ages, then worked again for the last bit of the game

all of this happened after installing 1.01

But they said that they will fix the party invite problems and trophy by friday.. so Saturday

I played two online matches and while in lobby my psn dropped out and would not reconnect even after i turned the machine off.

MW2 has been out 12-days, patched up 4-times(version 1.04) and the game is still having issues.

The game (at least for me) is still freezing/locking-up on occasion at the pre-lobby screen on occasion.

Also get this error message: unlocalized player animation index out of range message..Which puts an end to whatever multiplayer match I'm on.

Quick question, what does the nat type thingy seen at the bottom of the screen when you are In multiplayer do? Mine seems to always change, when I first got the game it was moderate, then a few days ago it changed to open, and now it's on strict

ive had no probs, got it when it came out still running like a dream, cant go online now coz i haven't updated to 3.10 and my net is capped will take 10 years to update literally.
