What side are you on when you play MP?

I am new to Multiplayer and have noticed i am always on one side. Take uncharted 2 for example there is green and red i am always green and on other games too i am always on the left hand team. SO i am GREEN OR TO THE LEFT. What side are u on??

ps how do i do a poll on it?

When it comes to multiplayer, you really can't choose your side. Some games allow you to switch over but it's mostly all random.

It's the same for everyone. Your opponents might be the red team to you, but to them they are the green team and you are the red team. It's the same with most MP in any game.

In Operation Flashpoint u can choose PLA (aka Peoples Liberation Army aka Chinese) and USMC (aka United States Marine Corp). Both sides are different from weapons, spawn location and vehicles in multiplayer.

Oh really i did not know that. I was always on the left hand side but i guess the opponent will always be on the left too.

Why am I 'always' the militia in COD MW2?
and I am 'always' US Marines in COD MW1?

there's no option to change it or poll it either.
is it random like a flip of a coin, and then you are fixed for life as a marine or a much despised militia?

I like the US Marine's M4 assault rifle anyday, that's the importance + that stupid red handkerchief on the head is no good.

if we are 'all' militia 'all' the time, i do not think it is random..i was thinking we need to build up our stats RPG style to choose...but from this forum, that doesn't seem to be it either...

I'm guessing it was the flip of the coin theory that's more correct.

i figured it out a bit. once you have the XP, go to "create a class", choose an american rifle, i think the M4 is the only choice..

u then have a more likely chance as being a ranger, or taskforce141. but i still was a taliban around 25% of the time...(or russian)...OK, so this probably answers the question.
