I've come here to wallow in self pity... as much as I'm ashamed to admit it, I really want a PS3 but they're too freakin' expencive

They confirmed it. It will be called the Elite Xbox 360. So there'll be 3 versions of the Xbox 360. The Elite Xbox 360 is only available for a limited time, then the Premium Xbox 360 will follow suit and have a 120Gb HDD and HDMI, although it will be white.
