lol i was reading a jb hifi catalougue yesterday and I saw Euro 08 for $59 !!!!, i was like MAD im getting it, soo then 10 mins later i realize that was the PS2 version not the PS3 verion which was on the other page for $99

Hold O and run to opponent to tackle opponent. Square is for Slide Tackle. This is for psp version, how do i get to be a pro mode?

Replays are still occasionally laggy, and the goalies also still ridiculously run outside the goals boundary side when the ball is crossed leaving the goal completely unguarded for a far post or mid goal cross!!

Other than that this game is awsome one of the computers chips of my goalie was awsome, hadn't seen a shot of thta quality in any previous fifa's.

Free kicks in Euro are also way better than Fifa '08.

My England side is 2-0 in qualifying and on the way to the tournament, but my Portugal side is 1-1 after losing 1-0 to some no name side, I never even looked like scoring in that game. Should have put Ronaldo up front as striker as I just couldn't get him in the game!

r1 is the finesse shot..
correct on the chip shot.. should all be in the manual though.
pretty close to the same as fifa 08

i won Spain 9 - 0 France in semi pro
turned the difficulty up to pro
and won Spain 4 - 0 Liechenstein in a qualifier.

Like in real life Torres is unstoppable

Nice games but won't take long to finish

Also got my copy from Big W Loganholme at that price, would've thought they'd be the same everywhere.. but could be wrong.

That's weird. I beat England with France 10-0 on Semi-Pro.

Then started a full Euro 2008 tournament.
Won against Georgia away 3-2.
Lost against Italy 3-1 at home.
Lost against Scotland at home 4-1

How come it got so challenging on the same difficulty ><

Like this game. I reckon its got a few small improvements over FIFA 08 with the faster gameplay being one of the more noticeable differences.

I seem to notice that interceptions and tackle animations are a little different as well. Less "on the rails" feel of your players although they could be a little more responsive. I seem to be able to use the "tricks" now a little more and sometimes they fool AI opponents whereas in FIFA 08 they always took the ball off you.

Is anyone finding fully "manual" shooting on goal to be still hit n miss. I'm spraying shots all over the shot and only when I put the shot aim on "semi" will I get the "pro evo style" of goal shooting which I think is better than FIFA 08 random shot generator

Missing perfect chances really grinds my gears.

Especially when "I miss" a string of very good chances, and then they counter-attack and score a goal ... and you're like "BS!!"

Are you playing the full EURO 2008 game mode, which includes friendlies, qualifiers and the EURO's?? They have said in articles the gameplay is alot harder if you jump straight to the finals whereas playing the entire lead-up etc makes the skill level not quiet as hard.
I guess its sort of like a reward for playing all the friendlies and qualifying games.

Pensky...im still having dramas with the whole manual shooting just like i did in FIFA. It either goes wide, over the top or straight at the keeper no matter which angle i use

I just finished it on the Full Euro setting, all friendlies, qualifiers and finals.. pretty easy on pro setting.

doesn't look like it unlocks anything.. but i'm sure the demo said once you've gone through the 2008 mode it unlocks 2004's so i'll have to look around.

Finished it with Spain, Torres was golden boot and player of the tournament.

Good game.. lucky i was crook today

i guess it could be easier doing it the way i did, the only reason for that though is your squad can grow during the matches.

Player attributes increase.. problem is if you're flogging teams etc, none of you defenders or goalie grow but actually decrease. So i started off with a keeper rated 90 i think he finished on 74 cause he never had much to save.

i recommend it.. but it's definatley got a short playing life.

game play graphics were great, but i think the player realism still have a fair way to go. I was hoping the face modelling show on you tune for fifa 09 would be used but it doesn't look like it's ready yet.
