I played against a heap of french people today. Actually I think I was the only english speaking player. My version is an AU one as well.

Can people with the oz version of MGO play with friends from the uk and vice versa? Shadowblade said he played with some brits on page 3, i just wondered if anyone with the oz version had specifically arranged a match with some one from the uk and how it worked out.

its not AU region locked its PAL region locked so we play with Europe! and thats the big problem with lag when someone from Europe hosts! US and Japan are NTSC.

I thought so wazzen, there goes the "its for the benefit of performance" excuse for region locking MGO. Australia pings better to the states then it does to Europe. Well i can now get a overseas pal copy for $75 delivered, beats the $120 Atari expect me to pay.

Depends where in Europe. I'm in the UK and I connect with the French like nothing but I tend to get lag with the yanks but it's not bad lag just a little annoying.

So you've never had an issue playing against aussies with the uk MGO Kazuma? Have you ever tried to set up a custom match with some aussie friends, can you see/access the myps3.com.au MGO clan?

My bad, I meant games in general, haven't played MGO, sorry for the misunderstanding that's my fault, I'll let you know on Monday... again sorry for the misunderstanding

EDIT: Just saw you 'damn sony' thread, thats bad luck mate. Looks like sony want to compeat with MS on the rrod issue as well

I'm getting it from the uk $75AU delivered, Atari are the distributors here and their taking the pi$$ with a $120AU rrp. I flat out refuse to pay over $80 for a major new release, thats still $15-$20 more than the yanks pay.
I wish everyone would stop buying the games at an inflated price, if we all took a stand things would change. The only significant reason for the software/hardware price difference is the fact the majority of aussies are willing to pay more.
I hope people will get the message in the long run, but for now i just have to be content with knowing there's one less aussie getting rolled by the distributors.
