no the walkthrough must have been using a special version of monsters that had the ingame music patched in. But the version of the game we have dosnt have it yet.

Well mostly it seems the bugs from 2.40 have been fixed and the Platinum Trophy Icon has been changed... Nothing else so far...

Firmware 2.40 (for member's that got the working version of it) added an automatic shut down feature to the System Update part of the console and I'm trying it out with 2.41 download.
Edit: It worked.

One question. Forgive my ignorance.
Is the PS3 update file (PS3UPDAT.PUP) that the American, Japanese and Australian Playstation site hosts all the same file? i.e. no region differences?
Because when I was updating my friend's Japanese PS3 to 2.40, I went to the trouble of downloading the update file from the Japanese site. I didn't understand a word of Japanese

Just go to system update on your console.
they dont usully put updates on the web till a day or so later

Yeah Steve except when i was trying that yesterday it kept getting an error during the download and i had to restart the download each time and in the end i still didn't get it.
so i have to try again tonight or maybe i can use the like the cmjk posted instead!!!

dosn't add additional features but fixes a glitch in the previous 2.40 version that affected some ps3 consols.

When i get home i'll try the update from my ps3 first and if i still can't sucessfully download it then i might use the downloaded one from the link.

After i updated to 2.41 BFBC froze,i had to switch off the PS3 and then force eject the disc WTF is goin on Sony
