Nah... Mine worked fine last night, but then again I do have a non-standard PS3 that doesn't seem to be affected by most of the reported problems...

Another thing I like about the new firmware is the ability to change headsets over when they go flat, mid play. No more jumping out every 4 hours for me!

My PS3 does that all the time! Its annoying. But I was running 2.36 at the time. Downloading 2.41 onto my USB atm.
I can't be bothered searching to find out what the new update does. So can someone just give me a brief heads up on what is new.

hi im new i was looking for someone to help me with a hdd problem on the ps3.
When i put in the new hdd after backing up the old one the ps3 will not recognise it and jut searches for ps3 firmware.
is it as simple as putting a firmware update on the new hard drive an installing it or do i have to format and partition the hdd
thanks in advance for any replies

Not very long a couple of seconds. It would be kinda like a bit of lag.

Apparently Life with PlayStation seems to have been released. You can access it by going into folding@home where you'll see a globe you can interact with. Zeroing in on a specific area will yield news from that locale.
But its probably just a stupid rumour

They put out these updates, so Ps1 games that are coming up on the psn store work. I bet that there is a new psp update as well.

this might sound wierd, but try moving your ps3. I was having the same problem, shifted the ps3 foward about an inch, and that solved it for me.
