PS3 Blu-Ray Region Unlock

I cant get it to work had to give it a try cause sont do weird things like put security into battery packs on PsP's ..

HEY GUYS! I found something that may very well be useful: www.avforums.com/ can someone try this? All you gotta do is insert the disc, when the "Region Incompatability" screen comes up - either press Square, and if that doesnt work press Triangle and select "Top Menu". Apparently with some discs you can bypass the lock and go straight to the menu and watch the film! lol

Region Unlocking Bluray and DVD

1. Turn the Blu-Ray on and open the Tray Door
2. Then press the following number combination on the remote “9113″
3. This will bring up a screen which will allow you to change the region. You have the choice of entering a region code for both Blu-Ray and DVD. I recommend you only change the code for the Blu-Ray component and leave the DVD box empty.
4. You will need to scroll to the second box and enter either “1″ “2″ or “3″ depending on the region you wish to use.
5. Save the settings by pressing OK and you should be able to watch discs from your selected region.

will only work 5times on a bluray player. now how does it work on a ps3, since this is a ps3 related site......

I know you can unlock the region locks on normal dvd players using the same sort of number sequence on the remote, I have done it to all my dvd players (set it to region 0 to play every region). But a PS3 blu-ray???? I don't know!! It might be possible.

I region unlocked my DVD player just before using the same principle
