Call Of Duty 4 Online Review - 10/10
spilt-screen
The split-screen mode is good for just playing 1 on 1 but if you want you can play up to 3 and 4 split-screen. Your weapons are sorted into there own classes so you can't use that you classes that you can use online in spilt-screen. There are not as many maps as the online mode but there are still some of the good maps left to play with, such as: Backlot, Shipment, Crossfire.... and so on.
Online
The online is amazing in this game. From being able to make your own weapon classes to being able to complete challenges, to earn extra XP so you can level up, there are heaps of different match types. First, there are some old favourites: Free-for-all & Team deathmatch. Some new ones made for the game are: Sabotage, Domation, Headquarters and Search & Destroy.
Controls
The Controls are very simple to learn:
Move/strafe - left stick
Aim/look - right stick
fire equipped gun - R1
Throw frag grenade - R2
Knife - R3
Aim down the site - L1
Throw special grenade - L2
Posture Change - Circle button
Interact/Reload - square button
Jump - X button
Sprint - L3
Cycle weapon - Trinagale button
Pause/show objectives - Start button.
Create A Class
The create a class mode lets you choose your own weapons instead of using the weapons that the game gives you. You unlock create a class when you reach level 4 online. You then can unlock more weapons to put into you weapon set by leveling up to a higher level. You also unlock more scopes and laser red-dot sites by getting more kills with your weapon. You can also unlock more camoflages by getting a certain number of headshots with your weapon.
You can also equip your Weapon set with certain PERKS to help you in battle, such as:
Extra health, better damage and drop a live grenade when you die.

Value of COD4
The value of this game is great and it is sure to last you a long time. The game will cost around the hundred dollar mark but you can probably find some place that has it on special. But it doesn't really matter what price you pay it for it will be worth it.
Problems
The only probelm about the online is that it can take quite a fair time to find a game. Also if you are put into an overseas game and you notice that you have only 1 red ping (bad connection), this means that you have a real disadvantage. You will suffer some bad bullet lag. But apart from that its a great game.
